| So, does anyone know what landmarks I should see if I'm showing myself around Berlin? Because next Saturday Andy and I, and one of his co-workers, are flying to Berlin for four days. Andy and his co-worker have to work Monday-Wednesday, so I shall be on my own. So excited!! I don't really want to take myself too far, because I don't want to 1) pay for travel, 2) figure out the transit system on my own, and 3) get lost...
I think we're going to go see the wall one evening...other than that I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Next week I intend to spend some time researching places I should definitely go in Berlin. This weekend I am finishing a research paper on the possibility of creating a high school program for TU Online, due on Monday.

| Andy and I took today off and went to a seminar about using the Internet for your church. It was put on by an Indiana organization, Center for Congregations, that fills all sorts of support functions for Indiana churches, founded entirely by a Lilly grant. Very cool. I had never heard of them before this, but the seminar was excellent. Of course, I don't agree with half the things they do, but other than that aspect...
I was incredibly impressed with the presenter today, who is a Ph.D. from Biola University. He was very down-to-earth, very educated, and an excellent presenter. We got a lot of ideas out of the presentation, so it was definitely worth it. Also, we got to spend the day together, which was nice.
I have two giant and one small (but difficult) papers to complete before the end of the term on March 31st. It's going to be an intense week!! Also, 16 miles to walk this Saturday...that complicates the writing of giant papers...remarkably, I am not stressed out - praise God.

| It's supposed to be nearly 70 degrees 'round these parts today...I'm so excited!! Cassie and I (Cassie Lemberg, with whom I work) are going to Heather's for lunch today...I'm so excited!!! Springtime always makes me think of Heather, because it just suits her so well.
I am almost done with my second term in my MBA program (yay!!!) I can't wait until I AM done with it, because right now it is kicking my rear...it ends March 31st, so not much longer to stress over it. At that point I am 1/2 done with my degree already, which is fabulous. I have learned a lot in the last 8 months and am really enjoying the program.
But the end can't come fast enough - my book list is getting ever longer and I never have time for them...

| So, I haven't been here in awhile...in fact, it's been long enough I never actually learned how to use this "new" Xanga site...it took me several minutes to figure out how to post to my blog. Huh.
I've just been puttering around the site today in between homework assignments, and thought I would say howdy. Are you all still out there? I hope so...I would rather like to get back to this...

| Today I get to read most of the day. Yay! Tomorrow we are having our family book discussion, and I have not done the reading for this week. Right now we are reading Searching for God Knows What by Donald Miller, a book which I do not unreservedly recommend. Miller is hysterically funny, but he comes to some not-so-great conclusions. That said, his main premise is that Christianity is a relationship, not a religion - on that he is right on. I'm getting ready to file for my financial aid for the fall. I hate this part of the education process - it's confusing. But, once done I am set for the fall and can begin to look forward to going to Europe. I believe Andy and Jim will be putting up drywall today and tomorrow. I find that thrilling, because I will finally be able to truly see the progress that has been made. We are really close to having kitchen cabinets installed - within a few weeks, I believe. I'm truly starting to get excited. Also, nervous, because I don't know how I'm going to handle my job, school, and a house. Not by my own strength, that is for certain. | | |
